Ethan LaVallee is a proud citizen of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council (TKC) and belongs to the Dakl’awedi Clan of the Teslin Tlingit Council (TTC), following the Matriarchal system. Within TKC, Ethan represents the Wolf Moiety.
Having been born and raised in the beautiful Yukon, Ethan has a deep connection to this land and its people. A few years ago, Ethan switched from being a TTC citizen to a TKC citizen, allowing him to reside in his traditional territory, and he feels incredibly fortunate for this opportunity.
Ethan is currently employed as the Business Development Officer with Da Daghay Development Corporation, the development corporation of his First Nation. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Chair of the TKC Youth Council. He is truly honored to be entrusted with this role, representing the Indigenous youth of TKC.
As Ethan embarks on this new chapter as the Yukon Male Youth Representative on the National Youth Council with the Assembly of First Nations, it fills him with a sense of pride and anticipation for the responsibilities that lie ahead. He looks forward to advocating for the rights and interests of Indigenous youth from Yukon, working towards a brighter future for our communities.
