18 Apr Honouring the Life of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Elder Percy Henry
The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Yukon Region offers sincere condolences to the family, friends, and all loved ones of Elder Percy Henry of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in, who was nearing his 97th birthday when he passed away peacefully in early April.
Regional Chief Kluane Adamek shared, “a remarkable and beloved Knowledge Keeper, Elder Percy Henry served as Hähkè (Chief) of Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Government from 1968 to 1984. He was an incredible human being and leader, weaving the path for where we are today as Yukon First Nations.
